VIEWS ON PROSTITUTION, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND DRUG USAGE

Certainly, I have many issues that I have been thrown into the middle of, or have pursued and researched over the years. These few topics merely touch upon three key points that are repeatedly brought to me for debate, or are assumed to be a part of my agenda due to conventional thinking.

PROSTITUTION

On a personal level, I have encountered many individuals who have engaged in this situation, through the rape crisis center, my sensuality site, and the world at large, and find that I am very protective of them. In my personal experience, it is not something I have engaged in. I am fiercely guarded with my sensuality, and strive to keep it enjoyable, and of my own. As I have contended with so many individuals trying to vie for power in my life, it appears to me personally more of a last resort to allow my own sexual assault for monetary survival, and have worked for a long time to maintain my independence. I believe that in each woman and man there is a natural instinct to desire the selection of our mates, and this system takes that from a person. Choice. That instinct is what I have strove to awaken, especially in women that live lives that are so confined, not to take it from them further. It appears that what is favorable in it, is to achieve financial independence from servitude, and to break free from conventional systems that make it not possible to move forward without allowing for self harm.

This issue cannot be solved by legalization at this time, nor with the instituted way in which it is currently designed, that does not allow for selection. This is not to say that it should be ignored, that it occurs regardless, but what must occur is a movement to understand to what extent coercion and groups of individuals that collaborate to isolate and abuse these people. The prostitutes themselves often unaware of their manipulation, believe that it is life circumstance, or are raised from birth to do so, often the victims of child molestation. Severe flaws exist in the legal system being capable of handling this without further marginalizing and victimizing these people. For example, if an individual finds themself set upon, and are forced to survive by allowing for their own assault, to then turn to any authority; it will be even more difficult for these people to make a case that they have been assaulted, if what has occurred is considered to be considered forced employment. More than that, current legal forces must be revisited to take these issues seriously, and this means a reworking of the system itself. It is the chill we feel in our days, as people interact with more reserve and scrutiny, as conversation turns uncomfortable or crass, in the years of our youth that pass on and on where we desire to live even a day with wild, innocent, abandon without recourse, and never do for lack of a place to do so, without in turn reinforcing the problem and further abuse. It can be seen in the eyes of a father to his new born daughter, from the fourteen-year-old on the corner to the wife passing by in her car. Help me, this is too large. My vision for this issue is far reaching than what is in this small writing; it is still in progress, I believe that it is inspired, moves past current hostilities concerned with the topic, and at it's heart is to move onto a better path than we are currently headed.

THE ENVIRONMENT

Many individuals have tried to pull me into working with the subject as it is close to my heart. I have fought in my personal life and as a director to maintain a positive and close relationship with the environment. I have endeavored to take on projects that create new modern mythos and iconography that mirror much of the positive experiences I have had with my relationship with nature. There are many thoughts to share on the topic, it is worth mentioning here its relevance to my work.

DRUG USAGE

This is an issue that has been brought to me quite a bit, although I have only been offered drugs directly perhaps three times in my life, and do not use them. I hardly drink as well for the same reasons. I did learn about the brutal reality of addiction, having to quit smoking well over a decade ago, that I took up when young and naive about such. I understand that people desire to enjoy their world, and drug usage is a recent phenomena (although we had some methods prior) that allows for unique physical experiences. More than that, they have been developed for decades in laboratories for their addictive qualities. It heart, I am a person that discourages elements that exist to enslave the mind, heart, or body of a person, and that is the result in many cases. Worse still, the reality is that many governments are reliant upon the success of these substances for economical vitality, and at times to assuage the masses, and so it is an entrenched topic. I liken it to playing a game of kerplunk; I have looked at it from all sides, and have decided what straw is best to pull first, without us all losing our marbles.

My thoughts are unique, but that is exciting because that which is different offers opportunity for change. I believe that there should be a shift in the chemical development of these drugs. There should be a new focus to develop other recreational drugs, that are just that, recreational. This can be achieved by supplementing them with what I liken to the equivalent of an appetite suppressant. Once the drug is used, the individual is satiated for an extended period of time, or to reuse the drug within that time as well is non-affective. This could span a week or weeks. I believe that people effectively want control in their own lives, and to enjoy them as well, and when offered the choice between addiction and non-addiction, most will take the latter. The first country, group, or system to offer this alternative successfully - will change the face of the globe. I believe it is a worthy pursuit that I have been supporting for many years now.
